root@thatman:~$ cat /scripts

scripts

Small shell scripts hosted here as plain text. Fetch one and pipe it to bash on your machine, or open the URL first and read it before you run anything.

how_to_run.sh

How to run a script directly

  1. Each script lives at /scripts/<name>. Both clean and clean.sh work.
  2. Inspect it in the browser or with curl before you execute it.
  3. If it looks right, pipe the same URL into bash.

Inspect

curl -fsSL https://www.piyushchhabra.com/scripts/clean

Run

curl -fsSL https://www.piyushchhabra.com/scripts/clean | bash

Only pipe scripts you trust. These are served as raw text so you can read every line first.

Available scripts

  • Tidy a Mac desktop: screenshots go to archive, PDFs to pdfs, other images and CSVs to others. Creates those folders on the Desktop if they are missing.

    curl -fsSL https://www.piyushchhabra.com/scripts/clean | bash
  • Set up a new Mac: installs iTerm2, Oh My Zsh, Node.js, and Fira Code after checking each one is not already present. Installs Homebrew first if it is missing.

    curl -fsSL https://www.piyushchhabra.com/scripts/new-setup | bash
  • Read-only look at what is eating a Mac disk: volume usage, heaviest home folders, large files, Docker images and stale containers, and cleanup suggestions. Nothing is deleted.

    curl -fsSL https://www.piyushchhabra.com/scripts/disk-insight | bash
